Study Abroad Advisors: Michele Cox, Chris Klein, Amy Bergmann, and Patrick Schweiger
Michele Cox, Director of Study Abroad
Michele manages the relationships for certain programs in Asia (China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong), Barbados, Brazil, Czech Republic, Italy, Jamaica, Poland, Spain (outside of Barcelona), and Trinidad. Michele also advises for the Spring 2021 IES-Shanghai program for Chinese students.
Chris Klein, Associate Director of Study Abroad
Chris is responsible for managing the study abroad and exchange programs in Africa (Botswana, Ghana, Morocco, South Africa), Australia, Austria, France, England, Germany, New Zealand, and Switzerland.
Amy Bergmann, Study Abroad Advisor
Amy manages exchange and study abroad programs in Denmark, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, the Middle East, Morocco, the Netherlands, Russia, Scotland, Sweden, and also advises for study abroad programs offered by AMIDEAST, SFS, SIT/IHP, and some CIEE programs, all of which host programs in locations around the world.
Patrick Schweiger, Study Abroad Manager
Patrick’s advising portfolio includes short term, summer, and semester study abroad. For semester study abroad, Patrick manages our exchange programs in Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Mexico, and Barcelona, Spain. Patrick is also advising for the Spring 2021 TEAN-Shanghai program for Chinese students.
Krittika Onsanit, Director of International Student and Scholar Services
Krittika oversees orientation, advising, services and support to non-immigrant students, scholars, teaching assistants, and staff on immigration, health insurance, practical, cultural, academic, and personal issues.
Diana Trinh, International Student Advisor
Diana provides support to UR’s international students by managing incoming exchange student applications, advising on J-1 immigration issues, and handling inquiries from international students, scholars, teaching assistants, parents and staff.
Bilal Hindi, International Student Fellow
Bilal is a 2020 UR graduate and brings a fresh and personal perspective to his fellowship position, which directly supports international students studying on campus and remotely. As an international student himself, Bilal majored in Psychology with a concentration in Neuroscience and a minor in Healthcare studies and was active in student programming.
